Sandra Lee Perry-Sauer, 66, of Lincoln Avenue,Berwick, passed away at home on Saturday morning, Sept. 13, 2014, after battling her illness for two months. Her daughter, Susan, was by her side.

Born in Abington, Pa., on July 15, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Taylor) and Levi Glatts. She was employed in various positions over the years, most recently as an advocate to reform laws for disabled Americans.

Sandra was affiliated with the Baptist church. She was a longtime member of the Pocahontas Club in Tuckerton, N.J., and a member of the VFW Post 821, Berwick. She was an avid reader, especially during her failing health.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles W. Perry Jr., and sister, Mary Pat.

She will be greatly missed by her loving daughters: Susan Douglas and husband Kurtis, with whom she resided; Sarah Maeve Sauer, Ocala, Fla.; Julee Anne Doughty and husband Todd, Mystic Island, N.J.; son, John Arthur Sauer III and wife Jill, Tuckerton, N.J.; grandchildren: Jimmy, Jeremy, Jared, Derek, Billy, Olivea, Sidney, Madison, Todd, Logan, Summer, Frankie, Julian, Jaydan, Jarron; and great-granddaughter, Zoey. She is also survived by the love of her life, John Arthur Sauer II, Mystic Island, N.J.; as well as sisters: Bonnie, Lucille, Gail, Kathy, Nancy; brothers: John, Bill, Michael, Dennis; many nieces and nephews, and her loyal companion “Abbey”.

A private memorial service will be held in New Gretna, N.J., for her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her daughter, Susan Douglas, c/o Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E. Third St., Nescopeck, PA 18635.
