He was born Feb. 12, 1931, at Chaffee, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Howell.
He served with the Army in 1948 and 1949, and was a truck driver before ill health forced his retirement.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Karen Chamness and Mrs. Donna Richmond; his parents; brothers, William Jr., Harvey and Leo A. Howell; sisters, Mrs. Sally Kinder and Mrs. Irene Schuette; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee. Burial will be in the Union Park Cemetery here.
