Funeral Home: J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel Charles Elvis Davis, 83, of Bowling Green, passed away at his residence April 10, 2013, at 7:43 a.m.
He was the son of the late Elvis Thomas Davis and Sally Milam Davis. Charles was a member and an Elder of Riverside Christian Church, where he was very active. He was a past Master of Elijah Upton Masonic Lodge and a past member of Oddfellows. Charles had a strong love for family and friends.
Survivors include a brother, Samuel “Sam” Davis and wife, Reva, of Bowling Green; a sister-in-law, Janelle Lawrence and husband, Larry, of Bowling Green; a brother-in-law, Alton Rone and wife, Linda, of Bowling Green; a sister-in-law, Ludean Davis Duckett of Bowling Green; a sister-in-law, Norene Rone of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews; and a pet cat, Punkin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marvene Rone Davis, and two brothers, David Brown Davis and Rex Barnes Davis.
Visitation is Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial at Riverside Christian Church Cemetery.
