Mr. Kendall died of cardiac arrest Sunday at Deaconess Medical Center.
Born August 25, 1940, in Spokane, he graduated from Rogers High School and Whitworth College.
He was with Medical Lake School District about 20 years. He was a fifth-grade teacher, and a football coach for Medical Lake Middle School.
Mr. Kendall was a member of the National Education Association, Spokane Teachers Credit Union and Spokane Eagles Aerie 2.
Survivors include one son, Gerald L. Kendall of Spokane; his stepfather, John Raschka of Spokane; two brothers, George and Lee Kendall, both of Spokane; one sister, Mrs Tom (Eva) Walch of Spokane; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to the Gary Allen Kendall Scholarship Fund, c/o Medical Lake School District, Box 128, Medical Lake, WA 99022.
