ROME- Willard G. Bissell, 74, East Verona, died unexpectedly Jan. 27, 1946, in his home after an illness of one week.
Born in New London, Feb. 12, 1872, Mr. Bissell was the son of the late Henry and Mary Clark Bissell. He married the late Bertha Herrig, who died in 1903.
He has lived in East Verona most of his life, carrying on a life of farming. He was a member of the New London Lodge, F&AM and a past master of Seifert's Corners Grange 1475.
Survivors are two sons, Horace C., East Verona, and Shannon W., Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Arthur O., Rome, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Griffin & Aldridge funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. George Butler, of Calvary Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Verona Mills Cemetery. (Rathbunville Cemetery)
