She married Hal Williams of Wyandotte, MI, on December, 20, 1958. Betty and Hal moved to Ithaca in 1962. Betty was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca. She enjoyed Bridge Club, golfing at the Ithaca County Club, and skiing in previous years. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Betty is survived by her husband Hal, her son Tony (Jackie) Williams, her daughter Beth (Kurt) Creamer, and her grandchildren Emma, Olivia, and Jack Creamer, and Brandon and Ethan Nelson. She is also survived by sisters Ruth (George) Manninen of Chassell, MI, Margie Zollinger of Pittsburgh, PA, and Catherine (Paul) Leach of Largo, FL. Also surviving Betty are numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by six siblings, Wesley Laine, Viola LeLievre, Gertrude Laine, Reino Laine, Armus Laine, and Helen Laine.
A funeral service was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca, Wednesday, September 17, with Rev. Joseph A. Novak officiating.
