Mrs. Jo Chandler-Barton, 86, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 14 2014.
Mrs. Barton was born November 10, 1927, in Bartow County, the daughter of the late, Dan D. and Annie Lucille (Goddard) Chandler, was a homemaker and a member of Sam Jones United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 52 years, Vinson Barton, Jr.
Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Mary Anne and Randy Shaw of Cartersville, her son, Dan Barton of Cartersville, grandchildren, Cortni and Kevin-Cooney, Bart and Jodi Shaw of Sylacauga, Alabama, Kayli Barton and Zach Barton, both of Dalton, great grandchildren, Katherine Cooney, Walker Cooney, Anna Barton Shaw and Anderson Shaw.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Lobello and Rev. Nena Jones officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bart Shaw, Kevin Cooney, Zach Barton, Randy Shaw, Steve Moore and Michael Howren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sam Jones United Methodist Church Building Fund.
