Was born March 11, 1945 in Cement, OK to Noble and Mima (Brown) Riley. He passed away at his home September 13th at the age of 69.

At the age of 16, Jerry began working in the oilfield for a well service. Before completing high school, he entered the Navy and served during Vietnam as a Boatswain’s Mate. He received his GED while in the service. He married Beverly Ann Pierson on November 5, 1966 in Wichita Falls, TX.
After he served, he went back to work in the oilfield doing various jobs with companies such as, Joe Young, Epperson, Earl Perkins and En Search Exploration. He then went into business with Ray Orum and began R&J Oilfield Production Company.

Jerry served on the Cement School Board. He was made an Honorary Chapter Farmer with the Cement FFA for all his dedication and work with the FFA students. He was active with the Cement Rodeo Playday. He also was a Mason and enjoyed playing games on his computer. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services with military honors will be held Wednesday, September 17th at 2:00 P.M. at the Cement Cemetery with his nephew, Rev. Michael Riley, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home.
