She was born in Marblehead, daughter of the late John H. and Cora M. (Dodd) Roundy, Jr. She attended Marblehead schools.
She lived in Marblehead for most of her life before moving to Gardner in 1987.
She was known for her numerous letters published in the Marblehead Reporter about what life was like in town during her childhood years.
Mrs. Blaney leaves one son, Stephen Blaney of Gardner; two nephews, Carl MacKay of Peabody and Howard MacKay of Quincy; and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Macaskill of Marblehead. Services were held in the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm St., Marblehead, March 7.
Burial was in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
