Wayne was a 1955 graduate of Berne Union, former manager of Lancaster Hardware, storeroom manager for Anchor Hocking Plant 2 and Cottage Leader for B.I.S. He was co-owner of R & W Sales in Amanda. Wayne was a 42 year member and Past Master of Amanda Lodge #509 F & AM, Past DDGM and District Advisor for the 13th District Masonic Association and Past Grand Tyler of the Grand Lodge F & AM of Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rita (Russi) Wooten, daughters, Joni (Daryle) Brink of Massillon and Patti (Jeff) Jones of Columbus; grandchildren, Daniel Baker of Urbana and Amanda Baker of Springfield; great grandchildren, Adrian, Kamille, Airiana, Avery, Tay and Alek. He is also survived by a half sister, Phyllis Sealey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Timothy Wayne Wooten, brother, Roy Wooten and half brother, Bruce Clemons.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, in Amanda with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Amanda Township. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Tuesday with a masonic service at 7:00 p.m.
Friends may call also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
