Happy Event.
On Saturday evening last a quiet wedding took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Allen on Hill's Flat, when their eldest daughter, Miss Annie, and Mr. James Geach were made man and wife. The groom is a carpenter by trade and is a young man of exemplary habits. The bride is popular with all who know her.

1900 US Census: Harriet age 27 resided in Grass Valley with her husband, James 33 and their daughter, Florence 1. James' Occupation: Carpenter.

1920 US Census: Harriet 47, James 52 and Florence 21, single, resided in Grass Valley in a house they owned on East Main Street. James Had immigrated to the US in 1881 and became a naturalized citizen in 1889. His Occupation: Carpenter. Florence's Occupation: Teacher in a Public School.

Harriet A. Geach Dies Last Night, Ill Long Period Harriet Ann Geach, 87, East Main street resident and native of this city, died at 8:30 p.m. last night at the Jones Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since April 6.
She was a long time resident of this city but following the death of her husband, the late James Geach in 1928 she lived in the bay area with her daughter, Mrs. Florence I. Crosier, moving back to Grass Valley just five years ago. In poor health for the past two and a half years and due to her advanced age her passing was not unexpected but nevertheless was a shock to family members.
Mrs. Geach was born Sept. 2, 1872. She was active in the Congregational church while a resident of Grass Valley and in the Presbyterian church during the bay area residence.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Crosier of Grass Valley, she is also survived by a nephew William Geach of Grass Valley: a sister Idella M. Rodda of Berkeley, a brother R. J. Allen of Vallejo and other nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hooper Weaver Mortuary with the Rev J. V. Best of the First Congregational Church officiating. Cremation will follow in Sierra View, Marysville.
