Lee (Bo) Wallace Jr., 81, of Little Hocking, Ohio, died peacefully at his home on Sept. 12, 2014.

He was born in Hoggsett, W.Va., on Sept. 25, 1933, and was the son of the late Lee Wallace Sr. and Mary Emma Black Wallace.

He retired from Kroger's southside following more than 30 years of service. Lee served proudly in the U.S. Army and was a sergeant with the 11th Airborne. Lee was very proud of his family and their accomplishments. He also had a special connection with his kitty Molly. He loved watching the horses, trains, gardening and had been active in umpiring baseball and softball for many years. He became known for giving gold dollars to children he would see as he was around town. He loved playing the piano and always said he played every song in the key of "L" because everything he played sounded like "L." As you can see, Lee was a very " happy go lucky" kind of man that will be greatly missed by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Mills Wallace; his son, Allen (Susan) Wallace of Ames, Iowa; daughter, Bonita (Joe) Nelson of Vincent, Ohio; son, Jeff Wallace of Elmo, Mo., and a son, Randy (Teresa) Wallace of Little Hocking, Ohio. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Tessa (Jeff) Moore, Nickie Nelson, Myranda Nelson, Joe Wallace and Jessi Wallace and seven great grandchildren. One sister, Pat Dunfee of Little Hocking, Ohio, also survives Lee along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 10 brothers and sisters and his grandson, R. Scott Wallace II.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with Pastor Bill Dunfee officiating. Burial will follow in Newbury Cemetery at Little Hocking, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 5-8 p.m. and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday on the day of the services. American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg will be conducting military graveside rites at the cemetery.

Donations in memory of Lee may be made to the Little Hocking Church of Christ Food Pantry or American Legion Post 15, Parkersburg, W.Va.
