MRS. SOPHIA BARCLAY.

Richland Center - Mrs. Sophia A. Barclay, 70, died in Chicago Sunday. The body will be brought to Richland Center.
Mrs. Barclay was born in Vernon county, and was the widow of the former David Barclay.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Powers, La Crosse, Mrs. Ruth Eng, Galesville; two sons, Everett, Chicago, Glen, Viola; One step-son, Buford, South Dak.; three sisters, Mrs. Oscar Fetty, Viola, Mrs. Ellise Olson, Reedsburg; Mrs. Bessie Thomas, Baraboo; two brothers, Harvey Eastman, Hillsboro, and Hugh Eastman, Reedstown..

Funeral services will be held in the Pratt funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Alva N. Beeman officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. (Note: actual burial took place at Newburn Cemetery)

NOTE OF MAY THOMAS BAER: She had but one daughter, Ruth Eng. Harvey Powers was her son from a first marriage. He was called "Art" but we always knew him as Van Ness in his younger life..
