FROM THE FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP HISTORICAL SOCIETY SCRAPBOOK COLLECTION:
1. KATHERINE RICOS ABBOTT, 82, Indianapolis, died March 21. She worked for the naval base in Key West, Fl, and at the Lane Bryant and Star stores. She retired in 1942. Mrs Abbott was a past president of Sigma Epsilon Delta sorority and a member of the Order of Ahepa Greek - American Organization. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Services at 1 PM March 27 in Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary, with calling from 2:30 to 6:30 PM March 26. Burial: Acton Cemetery. She was the widow of George Maxwell Abbott. Survivors: daughters Mary Elaine Abbott - Kobes, Alice Kimball; sisters Louise Polus, Mildred Mroz, Lulu Kalias, Mary Orr; brother Nick Ricos; a grandchild.
