His funeral will be at noon Tuesday (Sept. 16, 2014) at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. The Rev. Danny McCubbins will be officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.
The family suggests memorials be made to Greater Indiana Alzheimer’s Association, 91 East 91st St., Indianapolis, IN 46240, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Tom was born Oct. 7, 1946, in Normal, the son of Wendell B. and Helen Pauline Hill Alexander. He married Helen Murray on Aug. 31, 1985, in Indianapolis. She survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Amy D. Alexander, Fishers, Ind.; two brothers, Terry (Karen) Alexander, Bloomington, and Tim (Sheila) Alexander, LeRoy; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Brad Alexander.
Tom owned and operated Computer Resource Center, Indianapolis, for 20 years, retiring in 2005. Tom graduated from Normal Community High School and attended University of Illinois, Urbana. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him.
