Anarchist heroine of the 1871. She attended the Anarchist International Congress in London, she fled to London many times. She was a friend of Victor Hugo, he wrote her a poem called "Viro Major", and a part of the hym of the Commune of Paris written by Jean-Baptiste Clément :"Le temps des cerises" is dedicated to her, The nearest Metro station to her grave and streets in Paris are named after her.
