OBITUARY-
Funeral services for an Osage woman, Mrs. Ella Angell, 66, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Champion Funeral Home here. The Rev. John D. Woodin, pastor of the local Baptist church, was in charge, and burial was in the cemetery at Clarksville.

Mrs. Angell underwent surgery at University hospitals in Iowa City in June for a cancer condition that was the cause of her death.

Ella Mayzell Tibbits was born in Minneapolis, Kan., Dec. 7, 1892, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Tibbits. When she was three years old, the family came to Osage, the former home of her parents. She was educated in the Osage schools and was graduated from Cedar Valley seminary in 1910. She also attended Iowa State Teachers college in Cedar Falls, teaching 13 years in Mitchell county, and three years on Butler county.
Her marriage to Elmer Angell of Clarksville took place at Albert Lea, Minn., Aug 30, 1917. The following February he went into service, and gave his life for his country in 1918 while serving in France.
She was baptised at the Baptist church in Osage as a young girl. At the time of her death she was missionary and stewardship education chairman of the board of Christian education, was president of the Helping Hands Sunday school class of the Baptist church; was noble greadn for four years and at the time of her death, in the Rebekah lodge; and had held elective and appointive offices in the Auxillary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, of which she was a charter member. She held the appointive of National Home and Iowa Cottage chairman in the latter organization at the time of her death.

Surviving are her niece, Lorene Tibbits, now Mrs. John Nichols of Cedar Falls, whom she raised as a foster daughter, one sister, Myrtie Tibbits, two brothers, Harold and Leslie of Osage, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
