Donald Dee Dewitt

age 91, formerly of Muncie, passed away in Greenwood, September 10, 2014. Donald was born October 24, 1922 in Muncie, IN to Milt and Laura DeWitt. Donald graduated from Gaston Indiana High School. Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during W.W. II with the 253rd Armored Field Artillery. He was also a Bronze Star recipient. Donald retired from Borg Warner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dewitt, who he had been married to for 65 years. Donald had been a long time member of 1st Baptist Church and Bykota Sunday School Class. Donald had been a Volunteer at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was a long time golfer and member of Crestview Golf Course. Donald is survived by his children, Dennis (Nancy) DeWitt, and Kathy (Don) Martin; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home , 4600 W. Kilgore Ave, Muncie from 1 p.m. till the service at 3 p.m. Entombment will be at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
