Last Rites for Harold Dally

Funeral services for Harold Dally of Boone, formerly of Estherville, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home, Dr. C. Raymond Reed, pastor of First Methodist Church, Boone, officiating. Burial was in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Dally, 64, died Wednesday at 11:47 p.m. at the home of his son, Gerald W. Dally in Boone. He had been in ill health for the past eight years.

Harold William Dally, son of Benjamin and Carrie Dally, was born April 1, 1896, on a farm near Homer, and was reared and educated in the Homer community.

He was united in marriage Oct. 20, 1920 to Mae Rutledge and to the union six children were born, Harley Dally and Mrs. Robert (Lois) Guritz, Costa Mesa, Calif., Kenneth Dally, Des Moines, Gerald W. Dally, Boone, and twin sons, who died in infancy.

Mr. Dally lived in Estherville for a number of years, having been engaged in construction work while here. For the past three years he had made his home with his son, Gerald.

In addition to his four children, he is survived by eight grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, George and Glen Dally, both of Eagle Grove; Earl Dally and Mrs. Charles Saxton, both of Granada, Minn.; and Mrs. Walter Beck, Melford.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Mr. Dally was baptized when a young boy in the Christian faith.
