Kenneth was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Philipsburg, Pa
He was a member of Concord Baptist Church. Kenneth was a Korean War veteran, serving in the 5th Armored Division and was wounded in combat. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. He was retired from Harding Glass Co. He worked as a paint contractor for many years, and worked alongside his son, Fred "Butch" Trent. He loved his children and grandchildren more than anything. He loved camping, fishing and hunting. He loved to travel to his hometown in Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Mae (Brant) Trent; father, Harvey M. Trent; and a son, Frederick H. "Butch" Trent.
He was the youngest of seven children.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell Trent; two daughters, Kaye Neal of Van Buren and Mary Merechka and husband Lynn of Van Buren; two sons, Kenny Trent and wife Linda of Kibler and Brad Trent and wife Tammy of Van Buren; grandchildren, Brandon Trent, Erica Fears, Brandy Almond, David Ray III, Eric Ray, Cody Ray, Traci Wilhelm, Bradley Trent and Ashley Waters; and 38 great-grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Brandon Trent, Sam Fears, David Ray III, Eric Ray, Cody Ray, Bradley Trent and David Ray Jr.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 16 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 17, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
