Barbara Jean professed her hope in Christ at an early age and was a dedicated and faithful member of Zion Wesley A.M. E. Zion Church, Mt. Pleasant, NC. She demonstrated her love for Zion Wesley by working tirelessly in the church where she served in many capacities. She was known for always being stylishly dressed and the beautiful hats she wore.
Left to cherish precious memories are: four daughters: Brenda Blanding of Concord, NC, Rev. Patricia Wilkerson of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Barbara Spratt of Concord, NC and Miranda Colston of Orlando, FL; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Eddie Teeter; nephew, Ronald James Heilig; special friends, Rev. Queen Jones, Bettye McClure, Bob and Verisa Gill, Brenda Pryor, and Ronald Wilkerson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
