Clayton Wayne Augsburger, 84, of Flanagan, died Friday July 11, 2014 at his residence in Flanagan.

Clayton was born November 21, 1929 in Flanagan, IL to Elmer and Mabel (Yordy) Augsburger. He married Millie Knight on June 7, 1954 in Flanagan, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Randy (Kenna), of Moline, Gary (Kathy), of Fulton, Jerry (Sandy), of Marion, Paul (Rhonda), of El Paso, and Beth (Doug) Weers, of Flanagan, thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. His siblings include, Merlyn, of Eureka, Dean, of Normal, Donald, of Flanagan, Florence Bryant, of Vero Beach FL, and Delbert, of Flanagan.

His parents, his brother Joseph, sisters, Verna Heiser, Mardelle Kenagy and Darlene Limberg, preceded him in death.

Clayton was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Flanagan, where he served on the church council. He was an owner of G.A.S. Construction in the bridge building business.

He was a member of the Flanagan Village board for over 20 years.

He loved to spend time with his family and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

Clayton was a Cubs, Bears and University Of Illinois fan. He also enjoyed volunteering for Peace Meals and at OSF St. James Hospital.
