Richard W Hall was killed In Ditch Cave-In A former Knoxville man, Richard W. Hall, 30, was killed on July 1 when the 10 foot ditch he was working, in Truro collapsed.

He was the son of the Glenn Halls of Knoxville. Hall, an instructor at Interstate 35 (Truro) High School, was working in the ditch in Truro where repairs on a town sewer line are underway.

Another worker, Rev. Richard Hempeniius, was injured but reported in satisfactory condition. Hall's body was pulled from the ditch about an hour after the cave-in. He was reported dead on arrival at a Winterset Hospital
