Funeral services for Lester Frank Triplet, 82, of Minden were held today, Tuesday August 28, 1990 at 2 p.m., at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Archie Pippen and Rev. Don McCormick officiating. Burial was in the Old Athens Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Homer.

Mr. Triplet died Sunday, August 26 at Homer Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was a native of Wesson, Arkansas, and was a retired heavy equipment operator for T.L. James Company. He was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Nellie Adams Triplet, Minden; one son and daughter-in-law, Frank Durwood and Mary Ann Triplet, Bossier City; three daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie Maxine and Joe E. Pierson, Shreveport; Barbara and Jerry Hutchins, Heflin; Betty and Larry Pearson, Ashdown, Arkansas; four sisters, Etola Sanders and Edith Anglin, both of Homer; Iris Williams, West Monroe; Thelma Baker, Shreveport; two brothers, Hubert Triplet, Minden, and O.V. Triplet, Haynesville; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Lavon Anglin, Clyde Triplet, Billy Williams, Gerald Triplet, and Dalton Triplet. Hononary pallbearers were Danny Triplet and Floyd Rowell.
