Funeral services for Mrs. Maxine Westmoreland Cobb, 85, of Huntsville were Friday at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Haynes officiating. Burial was in the Athens City Cemetery in Athens, Alabama.
Mrs. Cobb died Thursday morning in the Huntsville Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Madison County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late William and Maureen Casteel Westmoreland. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frances Ashby of Mulberry; a son, Mr. James Howard Cobb of Huntsville; a brother, Mr. Carl Westmoreland of Huntsville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
