Ann Elder Delozier's grandfather William Elder the Senior engaged in the cultivation of tobacco in the of some of richest farmland in the colonies. The family compiled a large plantation and great wealth. Their farm in the shadow of the Catoctin Mountain near the Monocacy River. William Elder the Senior named this area St.Mary's Mount, and to have been one of the first white men to settle in this region in 1736. Mount St. Mary's and Seminary, the second oldest Catholic college and seminary in the United States was founder September 24, 1808 on what was originally William Elders property and bears the name he gave to the area. St. Mary's College overviews the beautiful Elder plantation and the Elder Family Cemetery. Her father William Elder Jr, settled on part of his father's plantation, he was a prominent farmer and blacksmith.
After the death of Daniel, Ann continued to live on their home plantation two miles northeast of Loretto, where the couple had settled after their marriage. Here Ann died in 1838. The home was purchased by one of their youngest daughters, Monica Delozier and her husband Jonathan Douglas.

Nichols; Susanna Delozier married Joseph Barclay; Nancy Delozier; Clotilda Delozier married Thomas Weaver; Daniel Delozier Jr. married Providence Burgoon; Monica Delozier married Jonathan Douglas; Charity Delozier married first John McGraw and second Nicholas Burk; Annastasia Delozier married Richard Burgoon; Belinda Delozier; Mary Delozier married John Logan; and Elizabeth Delozier married Samuel West.
