Mickey L. Wagner Jr., 54, of Milroy, died at 4 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at his home.Born March 2, 1960, he was the son of the late Mickey Wagner and Betty L. (Rhoades) Shank, who survives. On April 9, 1983, Mickey married his wife, Sherry L. (Bumgardner) Wagner, who also survives.Along with his mother and wife, Mickey is survived by: son, Adam Jacob Wagner, of Milroy; siblings, Richard Charles and wife, Roxanne, of Lewistown, Tracy Huffman and husband, Mike, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, Ricky Wagner and wife, Sherry, of Reedsville, and Ryan Wagner and wife, Michelle, of Milroy; and stepmother Pat Wagner, of Milroy.Mickey was a 1978 graduate of Kish High School, had worked at Fay L. Wagner Tire in Yeagertown, and retired as a C.N.A. He attended Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church.He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve.Mickey is survived by a plethora of loving family members and every life he touched along his journey. He was married to and adored his wife for 31 years. Mickey loved his son, enjoyed watching him play sports and grow into a man. Mickey also loved his dogs, Zuko and Socrates.His passions were tinkering in the garage, junkyard engineering and he was known to be able to fix anything. Mickey was also an avid fisherman and loved the ocean.Mickey was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of the American Legion.Mickey was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2011 and fought the battle for his wife and son with great resolve and determination.He would want his friends and family to "live long and prosper."A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church, Reedsville, with Pastor Douglas D. Sabin officiating. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the church. Interment will take place at Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.Memorial contributions in Mickey's name may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
