James Washington Pridgen went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 8, 2014.
He was a graduate of Northwestern High class of 1965. He furthered his education at Bethune Cookman College and graduated from Florida A&M. James served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He held 3 state licenses, in real estate, barbering, and teaching.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Clotee Philyaw Pridgen, father, Henry Pridgen, Sr., brother, Henry, Jr., and sister, Rosa Lee Pridgen; Leaving to cherish his memory is his sons, Warren Fulton, James Atony Pridgen, James W. Pridgen, Jr., and Javon Pridgen; daughters, Patrice Boatwright Symms and Chantelle Pridgen; 13 grandchildren; sister, Clotee Allochuky Pridgen; caregiver, Scherell Kemp; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Pridgen will be laid to rest in the Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors.
