Boyd Kevin Wenerstrom, 61, the best husband and father, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2014 with family by his side.
Boyd was born March 14, 1953 to Jack and Jewel Wenerstrom.
He married Lori Robertson on August 7, 1979 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity.
Boyd was a gentle soul with a charitable heart and a quick wit. He will be remembered as a fun-loving and considerate husband, father, and grandfather; honorable son; caring brother; much loved uncle and cousin; and a lifelong friend to all he knew.
As an art educator for twenty-eight years, his impact is still felt in the lives of his students. His wit was reflected in his artwork as well as his daily interactions. In spite of his health challenges, he remained positive, treating all with kindness and a signature smile.
Boyd was a member of the LDS Church, serving as a missionary in the Paris France Mission, a teacher, and Bishop.
Boyd is survived by his wife; sons, Brent (Katie) and Joel (Arielle); his daughter, Nicole (Michael) Taylor; and eleven grandchildren. He is survived by his mother and siblings, Alan Lee and Wendy Bills.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the South Jordan Ninth Ward Chapel, 9750 South 2200 West. Friends may call one hour prior to the services and Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway.
Interment will follow in the Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South), Cottonwood Heights.
