Graveside services for Helen Joyce Anderson, 66, of Bangs will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4 at Bangs Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of the Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Anderson died on Friday, Aug. 2, 2002 at Twilight Nursing Home.
Helen Joyce Anderson was born on March 25, 1936 in Gorman, Texas. She married Clifton Ray "Andy" Anderson on September 25, 1976 at Lake Brownwood. She was a clerk at Bangs Thrift Mart for 17 years and a checker at a number of Safeway stores. She had lived in the community since 1975 and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bangs.
Survivors include her mother, Syble McAlister of Bangs; her brother, Harold David Harwell and wife, Dianne, of Corpus Christi; her sister, Arlene McAlister of Grand Prairie; her aunt, Agnes Denhart of Bangs; her niece, Loree Lewis of Corpus Christi; and nephews, Steve Terrell of Menard and Stan Terrell of Stanford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Ray "Andy" Anderson in 1996.
