Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home, located at 426 East Dover Street, Easton, Md., with a two hour viewing prior to the service.

Lucille E. Dean, daughter of the late Preston Dean Sr., and Evelyn Hoxter Dean, was born September 21, 1924, in Queen Anne County, Maryland. She departed this life on September 11, 2014, at the Pinnacle Nursing Home, Smyrna DE.
Lucille received her education in Talbot County Schools. Lucille enjoyed cooking. She was famous for her apple spice cake and wearing stylish clothes. She loved spending time with her family. She worked for many as a domestic housekeeper, and was also a self-employed maintenance technician, where she found employment at various local businesses.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Richard E. Dean (wife Rena), Ronnie E. Dean, James E. Dean; one daughter, Juanita H. Blake (husband Bobby); one sister, Beatrice D. Cain; one sister-in-law, Shirley Dean; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Frank Dean, Sr.; three brothers, Charles Dean Sr., Preston Dean Jr., and Robert Dean.
