He was born to Marjorie and Neill Marshall Aug. 13, 1935, in Gilmer. He graduated from Tyler High in 1953 and
followed in his father's footsteps to Texas A&M. While
at A&M, Pat was best drilled sophomore, first sergeant
and commanding officer of Squadron 20, graduating in
1957 with a BA degree in business.

In 1957, he married his love, Martha Yowell, in
Gilmer. Together they had two children, Elizabeth Ann
and Russell Neill.

Pat received his commission in the Air Force May 1957
and proudly served his country for 20 years. He served
two tours in Vietnam. Also, while in the Air Force,
he received his electrical engineering degree at the
Air Force Institute of Technology in 1969. His last
assignment was Sunnyvale Air Force Station, California. While there he received his MBA from Santa Clara
University in 1975. He retired and returned to
Tyler in 1977. Until his final retirement in 1997, he was a
comptroller for several companies in Smith County.

He was a member of Glenwood Church of Christ where
he was on the mission committee, especially fond of
Ron Wallace of Australia who shared the "good news"
which resulted in his being baptized into Christ. He
was at one time a deacon and counted the contributions
each Sunday with his friends, Avery Womble and Gene Tindel.

Pat loved God, his country, his family, Texas A&M
Aggies and golf. Some of his greatest memories were with Fred Kniffin, Bill Bonifay, Bill Wallis on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Alabama. Dick Fratus, Rick Rucker and
Don Emory were great buddies on the Hollytree golf
course. Pat was a good man.

and Mary Thomas White.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha; his children, Elizabeth and Russell (Jennie); two grandsons, Deane Patrick and Grant Case; sister, Louise Shipley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
