Mark R. Adams, 72, died suddenly Saturday night at his home in York Springs R.1. Born in Carbon County, he had retired from farming before moving to Adams County, four years ago.

He was son of the late Willoughby B. and Estella (Graver) Adams, and was a member of the United Brethren in Christ Church at Heidlersburg.

Surviving are his wife, the former Noami A. Boyer; a daughter: Mrs. Gary Westfall of Jacksonville, Ala.; a son: John Q. Adams of Gettysburg R.4.; six grandchildren; and two sisters: Mrs. Pearl Dean of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Josephine Underhill of Homestead, Fla.

Funeral services Wednesday afternoon, from the Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville, with Rev. Dorsey Glover, officiating. Interment in Heidlersburg Cemetery.
