Daniel Darrell Lee
"Stan"

Daniel Darrell Lee, 22, chose to end his life the morning of Saturday February 23, 2013 while stationed with the United States Navy in Rota, Spain.

Daniel kept his parents and sister Michelle entertained since the day he was born July 21, 1990 in Sandy, Utah to Randy and Peggy Lee. Michelle was truly his best friend in life and he recognized and thanked her for that in the end. Named after each of his grandpas, he held characteristics of both along with a whole lot of individuality. He attended schools in Sandy including Alta High School and spent many of those years and beyond having adventures with his long-time friend, Greg Knecht. With influence from his good friend Zack Dunnebacke, thank goodness Daniel decided to join the US Navy at 17 years of age. It gave him a way to use his talents and give him focus, guidance, and experiences in California, Afghanistan, and most recently Spain.

Daniel encouraged those around him to get out and DO things. While having Michelle as a roommate, he "attempted" to persuade her to skydive every day. He often challenged his Mom, Dad, family and friends to fun outings which included road trips to satiate his appetite for bike racing and riding. We will miss his hilarious humor and demeanor and the hugs he occasionally bestowed. "Peace out" Daniel.

Daniel leaves behind his parents and sister along with Grandparents Dan and Margo Lewis and Charlotte Glorfield. He was preceded in death by Darrell "Papa" Lee. He had many friends, cousins, uncles, and aunts who loved him.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday March 8, 2013 from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to services at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT. Services will be held, including Military Honors, on Saturday March 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm.
