Ms. Joann Palmer, 74, of Chason Eret Road in Buckatunna, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Joann was a member of Hillcrest Missionary Baptist Church and had worked as a Sales Associate at Walmart in Waynesboro for 23 years. She was much loved and respected throughout the community. Her favorite Bible scripture was "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."- II Timothy 1:7.
Joann is survived by her son, Ronald Clay Revette of Buckatunna; 2 daughters, Rachel James (Harold) of Buckatunna and Rhonda Chambers of Charleston, SC; 5 grandchildren, Cole Revette of Buckatunna, Melanie James of Hattiesburg, Jeremy James of Buckatunna, Nicholas James of Buckatunna and Heather Terry (Josh) of Hattiesburg; and 1 great-grandchild, Jack Terry of Hattiesburg.
Visitation for Joann will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, September 3, 2012 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro with Rev. Phillip Gandy officiating.
Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Millry.
