Mr. Teague was born in Blairsville, on March 28, 1940, a son of the late Wayne Radford Teague and Mabel Patterson Teague. Jackie attended Union County High School from 1954 to 1958, and after graduation, went to work for General Motors. In Spring Hill, Tennessee, Jackie worked for General Motors as a union leader for the Saturn Corporation. He was also a former racecar driver, and had worked as a bodyguard for country music singer, Vern Gosdin.
