Wife of John Hurst.
Third cousin of Patrick Henry, Patriot.

Some family trees show her father John Summers as having a first wife, Mary West, although the earliest history recorded of their family (by their great-grandson, Judge Summers) mentioned only one wife, "Mrs. Blake," and states they were the parents of 10 children. Most researchers agree that she was Mrs. Seth Blake Lucas, who would be
a cousin of the first wife Mary West (if Mary West existed) and that Elizabeth Summers Hurst was the daughter of Seth Blake Lucas Summers.

Through either wife of John Summers, Elizabeth Hurst would be a third-great-granddaughter of Cleopatra Powhatan, sister of Pocahontas, and fifth-great-granddaughter of Catherine Carey, Lady Knollys, who was the daughter of Mary Boleyn, sister of Queen Anne Boleyn and mistress of King Henry VIII. Lady Knollys is reported by some historians as an illegitimate daughter of Henry VIII.

Lady Catherine Carey Knolly's 10th-great-granddaughter is Queen Elizabeth II (through her mother) and 12th-great-granddaughters include, coincidentally, the Queen’s daughter-in-law, Princess Diana (Spencer), and granddaughter-in-law, Princess Kate (Middleton).

Interment unverified. If she died in Fairfax, Virginia, as family trees show, she likely could be buried in the Summers family cemetery there where her parents were buried.
