She married Herbert “Cookie” Cook on March 25, 1950 in Ithaca. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2012.
For 30 years she worked as a meat wrapper, at the A&P, Keith’s, Del’s and Ric’s. In their early years they enjoyed dancing. Later they enjoyed going to softball tournaments to follow teams which they had sponsored. They especially looked forward to the time they could get away together and go up to the cabin. Dee also enjoyed playing with the grandkids, reading, and doing crossword puzzles and word searches.
Deloris is survived by her son, Joe and her daughter-in-law, Cheryl; three grandsons, Nathan (Jessica) Cook of Louisiana, Ryan Cook of Alabama, and Blake Cook of Texas; and her great grandson, Ryder;
She was preceded in death by her son, Lynn, and her daughter, Becky; four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were Tuesday, September 16, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, with Pastor Ried Martin officiating.
