No Funeral Arrangements To Be Made Until Word From Brother In New York

Clarence Churchill.
Clarence Churchill, son of the late Sarah J. Churchill and brother of Arthur H. Churchill, of No. 6 Westover road, Montclair, died in Tucson, Ariz., Tuesday. He had been in ill health for the past three years and had lived for the greater part of the year in Tucson.
Mr. Churchill was born in Smithtown, L. I. in 1855 and came to Montclair as a boy. He was educated in the Montclair public schools. He was active in the Montclair Dramatic Club during its earliest years and was for many years a member of the old Montclair Club.
He started in the tea business as a young man and was a partner in the firm of Theodore A. Sheffield & ? During the war he was engaged in the manufacture of war acids at Stamford, Conn., and it is thought that his health was permanently injured at that time.
While in Tucson he became interested in the lonely shut-ins of that city and, for their benefit, established a private circulating library. Its activities gave him the opportunity of spreading a wholesome spirit of courage and cheer. Many of the books used in this work were sent him by Montclair people.
Funeral services will be held in Tucson and the body will be brought East for interment in Greenwood cemetery, Brooklyn
