Patricia L. "Patty" Hutton, 58, the daughter of Roberta Florence (Ray) and Robert Francis Poor, was born January 22, 1956 at Bakersfield, California. She departed this life on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at her home in Red Cloud.

Patty grew up in California and received her formal education attending grade school at Woodrow Wilson Elementary and graduated from Kern Valley High School in Lake Isabella, California with the class of 1974. She continued her education at Bakersfield College. On June 16, 1979 she was united in marriage with Wm. Daniel Hutton at New Castle, Wyoming. This union was blessed with two children, John Daniel and Alexis Ruth.

Patty was employed for a time with Bakersfield Credit Control and with Vibe's Market while living in California. Following their move to Nebraska, she was a longtime employee with the Peoples-Webster County Bank in Red Cloud. She was actively invovled in her church and community. Patty was a former member of the Highland Hills Baptist Church in Bakersfield, the Cornerstone AOG and most recently a member of the Lifehouse Church at Hastings. Her civic memberships included the Red Cloud Women's Chamber, the Republican Valley Arts Council and was a past recipient of the Volunteer of the Year with the Willia Cather Foundation in Red Cloud.

She will be lovingly remembered for her sweet spirit, her compassion for others, and her talents for cooking, sewing and singing. In her leisure time she enjoyed golf, fishing, camping and walks in the rain. She especially looked forward to each year's first snowfall. Her love for her family and friends was immeasurable and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

Left to treasure her memory are her loving and dedicated husband, Dan Hutton of Red Cloud; daughter, Alexis Elledge; son and daughter-in-law John and Sarah Hutton; three grandchildren; sisters, Janet Pennington and husband Hank and Teresa Miron and husband John; other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be held Monday, 6:00 p.m., October 6, 2014 at Lifehouse Church in Hastings, Nebraska.
