Lloyd Carlton Reynolds, 85, of 1407 Lynch Road, Altavista died Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Charlene Power Reynolds for sixty-four years.

He was born September 5, 1928 in Altavista, a son of the late James Robert Reynolds and Ruth Gibson Reynolds. He was a member of Mount Hermon United Methodist Church and a retired supervisor with The Lane Company.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert L. Reynolds and his wife Patsy of Hurt; a daughter-in-law, Belinda Reynolds of Hickory, NC; three grandchildren, Scott Reynolds and his special friend Amanda Pippin, Michael Reynolds and his wife Jessica, and Blake Reynolds and his wife Ashley; and three great grandchildren, Ashly, Presley, and Emerson; two sisters, Mary R. Pillow of Altavista and Lois R. Hackworth of Hurt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip (Flip) Reynolds, one brother, R.J. Reynolds; and two sisters, Lillian Adkins and Vernell Wilson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Mount Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Bill Greer and the Rev. Mike Maxwell.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
