Leo Foster, 61, died on Thursday, September 4, 2014 after a long illness.
He was born July 11, 1953, in Chattanooga.
He was a graduate of Riverside High School class of 1971. He was a highly decorated member of the United States Army, serving tours in North Carolina, Texas, California, and Germany.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maurice Williams; father, Willie Lee Foster and by his sister, brother, and nephew.
He is survived by his three children, Monique (Dale) Alexander of Atlanta, Marcellus (Crystal) Foster of Dallas, Angelique Foster of Washington, D.C.; sister, Lowenstein (Alex) Smith; two granddaughters, Jordan and London Foster both of Dallas; fiancée, Dorothy Maddox; stepchildren, Tyra Roberson, Charles Maddox Jr; step grandson, Rodney Roberson; half siblings, Patricia (Gil) Ellis of Maryland, J.B. Williams, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held graveside at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Ernest Jefferson officiating.
