Dianne M. Wood, 64, of Cold Brook Road in Riverview, New York, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at her home. She was born in Riverview on March 3, 1950, the daughter of the late Donald and Helen (Houle) Wood.
Dianne graduated from Saranac Central School in 1968 and attended Our Lady of Victory Secretarial School. She was employed at Adirondack Claims Service in Plattsburgh for many years and later at Clinton Correctional Facility until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
She was survived by her brother, Donald J. Wood of Saranac, New York, a sister, Penny Woodward of Plattsburgh, New York, numerous nieces and nephews, her great nieces and great nephews; Jordan, Jonah, Landon, Liam, Tessa, Wyatt , Lindsey, Sarah, Ryan, Austin, Logan, Jake, Shawn, Karissa, Kayla, Roxanne, all of whom were a huge part of her life.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Gary and Billy; her very cherished nephew, Raymond Dashnaw; her brothers-in-law; Lawrence Dashnaw and Larry Woodward.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at the Church of the Assumption in Redford, New York. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
