Jeffrey, son of Hugh Vanderbilt Curtis and Maxine Wright (Curtis), was a veteran. He married Carita Moore Curtis, daughter of Willie and Virginia Frances Emrick Moore. The wedding dress and veil were made by Carita's mother.∼COURIER-JOURNAL - 09/12/2014 - Jeffrey Wright Curtis, age 62, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014. He was an Army Veteran. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed photography and adored his grandchildren. He loved the outdoors and always had a smile on his face and in his heart. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Caria Moore Curtis and his parents, Hugh Vanderbilt and Wilma Maxine Wright Curtis, and his sister, Lucia Spurlock. Jeff is survived by his loving children, Jonah Curtis (Stephanie) and Rachael Daniel (Stuart); grandchildren, Branden, Hayley and Brooke; brothers, Marc (Terry), Stan (Jeannie), Greg (Sheila) and Jimbo Curtis; and little Fricky the cat. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends. Funeral ceremony will be 10am Monday, September 15, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-6pm Sunday, September 14th at the funeral home.
