Mrs. Elizabeth Gowen
Mrs. Elizabeth Gowen, 79, of 767 Hazel St., died Tuesday at Akron City Hospital after a six-month illness. She was born in Benton, Kentucky, and lived in Akron 38 years.
Mrs. Gowen leaves two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Wheatman and Mrs. Grace Adcock, both Akron; sons, C. B. and R. D. Gowen, both of Akron; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Grace Evans of Kentucky, and a brother, Erie Wilkins of Shreveport, Louisiana. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Eckerd-Baldwin Colonial Home.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
