William Lewis arrived in New England in 1632 aboard the "Lyon", along with his wife and his son William. He was at Cambridge in 1632, and was a first settler of Hartford in 1636, where he was a selectman in 1641. He was in Farmington in 1644 and in Hadley in 1659, where he was a Representative to the General Court in 1662. In 1664, he was a Representative for Northampton. He finally removed to Farmington,CT in 1675.
