ELIJAH YORK PASSES TUESDAY
Tuesday morning at his home in this city passed Elijah York, aged 25 years. He had been sick only a few days. Burial was Wednesday afternoon in the city cemetery. Services at the graveside by J.C. Patty. W.C. Hemperley was undertaker in charge.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Jennie Bell York, two brothers, Tommy and Harry York, and a sister Lina May York, at Gracewood. Elijah had been a member of the WPA corps of workers for several years. He was a good worker and held in high respect and confidence by all he knew.
