Mr. Rasmussen joined Western Electric Co. in 1923, moving to General Telephone in 1935 and working in Santa Monica as a power foreman. In 1947, he was moved to Power Engineer coming here in 1959.
He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 5, 1904, moving with his family to Portland, Oregon, when he was a small child. He attended school in Portland including St. Lawrence Academy and Benson Poytechnic Business College.
One of Mr. Rasmussen's hobbies was amateur radio. His call numbers were WB6GGW. He was also a member of Santa Barbara Lodge #613 Elko, U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary, Independent Telephone Pioneers.
On Sept. 20, 1953 he married Esther Alloogian at Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives at the family home. Also surviving 2 daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Peters and Mrs. Diane Millman, both of Meadow Vista. Two sisters, Mrs. Fay Schley of Glen Ellen and Mrs. Blossom Feltner of Portland, Oregon. A half brother, Don Carlos Davis of San Jose; and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Halder Mortuary, Santa Barbara Lodge 613 will officiate. Private Interment will follow.
Friends may remember the Cancer Foundation of Santa Barbara, 300 West Pueblo Street.
