Sadly, John passed away in 2006 at their home in Redding. On June 13, 2012, the couple's daughter, Jennifer Thoma, passed away in San Luis Obispo, California. Barbara passed on December 29, 2013. Her headstone, shared with husband, John, was placed at the foot of her father's grave in Redding Memorial Park.
