BURWELL — Clinton R. Shetterly, 62, passed away Monday, Sept. 8, 2014.

There will be a memorial service for friends and family at 6 p.m. Saturday at his home at 227 N 11th Ave., in Burwell. Govier Brothers Mortuary is assisting the family.

Clinton was born Jan. 16, 1952, to Betty and Richard Shetterly. He graduated from Kendall High School in 1970. He went to work for the Kendall Co-op. On Jan. 15, 1973, he was drafted into the Army. After his discharge, he went to work on his family’s ranch near Amelia.

On April 24, 1976, he married Sharon Zulkoski. He then went to work for Mid State Co-op as a salesman, then Ag West and finally Big Red Feed. He took early retirement due to his health.

Clint was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and camp with family and friends. He especially enjoyed taking the Simon girls camping and fishing, a high point for him being teaching Faith and Hanna sporting clays.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon; son, Clint Shawn, and friend, Cassie Chapman; a granddaughter, Corrien of Ord; son, Casey of Henry; his father, Richard; and two sisters, Kay and Linda, all of Burwell.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty (Burch) Shetterly.
